Quinn’s competitive career began with standout success as a junior—highlighted by her title as the 1995 West Coast AHSA Medal Finals Champion and multiple top-six finishes in the USET West Coast Finals. After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in economics, she committed her analytical precision and equestrian talent to the professional ranks in 2008.
Since then, Quinn has cemented her reputation as one of the premier professional riders and trainers in the Northwest. Her career highlights span major victories across the hunter and jumper disciplines, including:

Keri Bailey

With nearly 40 years at the with one of the region’s premier training programs, Keri is a master horsewoman whose influence has shaped generations of equestrians. She doesn't just teach riding; she builds exceptional horsemen and women from the ground up.
She meets every student exactly where they are, transforming raw beginners into confident riders and guiding dedicated competitors all the way to the national stage in hunters, jumpers, and equitation. Her system is rooted in the correct, classical fundamentals that ensure safety, precision, and longevity in the sport.
As the director of all business operations, personnel management, and finances, Keri is the engine that drives a seamless, elite training environment. Her decades of logistical and business mastery ensure that the facility runs with absolute precision, allowing trainers, riders, and horses to focus entirely on achieving excellence.
Efrain Gandara
Head Groom
Efrain has been the backbone of the program since 1995, bringing over 30 years of elite, hands-on equine experience to the team. In the high-stakes world of hunter and jumper competition, a horse can only perform as well as they are cared for—and Efrain is the master craftsman behind that preparation.
Working in direct lockstep with Quinn and Keri, Efrain plays a critical role in the daily conditioning, therapeutic care, and fitness management of our top equine athletes. His responsibilities span from precision work at home to managing the meticulous logistics of horse welfare at major rated shows.
With an unmatched eye for detail and a deep understanding of each horse in his care, Efrain ensures that every horse in the program is mentally relaxed, physically sound, and peaking at the exact right moment. His profound commitment to horse care is the silent engine that keeps our horses healthy, happy, and standing at the top of the competitive leaderboard.
A Lasting Legacy
Owners John Turner and Jack Hammond arrived in the Pacific Northwest in 1979 and then established Thumbs Up Farm in 1986. Keri Bailey joined shortly thereafter in 1987, while Efrain Gandara followed in 1995. Quinn Partridge turned professional in 2008 after riding with Thumbs Up Farm during her junior and amateur careers.
Year after year, this amazing team continues to produce winning horses and riders who compete at all levels in horse shows across the United States and Canada.
